One of the top online bookmakers Ladbrokes has to pay quite a substantial amount of winnings to one of its clients who decided to put together an interesting each-way five-folder last Saturday. The entire story looks like a Hollywood movie script. A punter decided to join some horse racing action at Chepstow & Tramore and picked 5 horses with one important criterion. All of their selections were listed at number 10 on the racecard and, what is more, took place within just an hour and a quarter.
Betting Guide - Staking. How to select the right approach?
The wager started kicking in with a Mandarian Monarch at the odds of 15.00 (14/1) at Tramore (6:45 pm), shortly followed by a 7:00 pm Morrooj priced up at 7.00 (6/1), and 7:30 pm Sir Canford that also had quite long odds of 13.00 (12/1) for the Chepstow race. Imagine the reaction of the lucky punter when their winning streak continued with an underdog Red Vermillion win against the dominant Cool Colonnade at 7:45 pm and the 8:00 pm Das Kapital longshot, which was given the odds of 15.00 (14/1).
Interesting fact, but the punter had a chance to scoop an even bigger fortune if joined the action a bit earlier. Another number 10 horse Itsalongroad priced at 23.00 (22/1) crossed the finish line first at the Tramore's 6:15 pm race.
Well, the lucky punter probably has nothing to complain about after a whopping £151,488.10 came their way. It was a rough couple of days for the
bookmaker Ladbrokes, as the operator also had to pay out a total of £32,000 on a
301.00 (300/1) «no-hoper» wager a couple of days prior.
