As we all already know, betting comes with a lot of responsibilities and sometimes it's hard to keep track of those when the gold rush kicks in. That is what happened to one of the teenagers from Consett. The 19 -year-old student Jordan Donnellan, who was working as a part-time bartender, almost jumped out of his pants when he found out about his acca slip. Jordan guessed all the 14 selection on his acca slip right and scored around £1.2 million.
The guy was so happy, he even threw a big party. Little he knew that the very next day he would be really upset. Representatives at the local
Ladbrokes office, where he placed his bet, told him they cannot process a payout because the slip was submitted on the wrong form. It appeared that Ladbrokes actually has two types of forms Weekend Quickslip (enough to guess the winner) & Weekend Result Rush (same as quickslip but with both teams to score). Jordan picked the second type with higher odds and unfortunately missed a few matches where only one side scored.
"It is like buying a lottery ticket in Great Britain and finding out your winning combination is only good for Australia" - commented one of the Ladbrokes representatives.
